In a photo from last summer, Katie Ledecky swims on her way to winning the women’s 800 freestyle final during the London 2012 Olympic Games. This summer, Ledecky, 16, competed in the world swimming championships in Barcelona, Spain, and won four gold medals. She will be a junior at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bethesda this fall.
