In preparation for next July’s XIII National Black Catholic Congress at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center at National Harbor, Maryland, The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington’s Office of Cultural Diversity and Outreach will conduct a Day of Reflection on Saturday, Nov. 5 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Largo, Maryland.
Titled “Write the Vision: A Prophetic Call to Thrive,” the day of reflection will be held from 12:30 pm. to 6 p.m. to discern and dialogue with the faithful to identify their needs, interests, and concerns. As a result of this input, a report will be submitted to the National Black Catholic Congress to assist with the Congress’s pastoral plan.
The event will conclude with a Mass celebrated by Washington Auxiliary Bishop Roy E. Campbell Jr.

In addition, to ensure representation from all parishes, pastors have been asked to invite two parishioners to participate in the Day of Reflection and submit their names separately.
