After processing through Washington neighborhoods and streets after setting out from the Shrine of the Sacred Heart, the Walk with Mary participants arrived at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Marchers carried 45 colorful flags representing the countries of the Americas. Youth dressed in traditional Aztec costumes danced to show their devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe, and a man portrayed St. Juan Diego, displaying his cloak that showed an image of the patroness of the Americas.
