Archbishop Wilton Gregory will ordain eight new priests for the Archdiocese of Washington on June 20, 2020. The Mass of Priesthood Ordination is not open to the public due to local government restrictions on the size of public gatherings to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The Mass will be livestreamed, with a link available on the Archdiocese of Washington’s website at adw.org/ordination

The eight men who will be ordained as priests for the Archdiocese of Washington are Deacon Patrick Agustin, Deacon Nathanael Anderson, Deacon James Glasgow, Deacon Jeremy Hammond, Deacon Emanuel Lucero, Deacon James Morrison, Deacon Francisco Rodríguez and Deacon Stefan Yap. Also during the Mass, seminarian Nicholas Morrison, the brother of Deacon James Morrison, will be ordained as a transitional deacon for the archdiocese.

Profiles of the archdiocese's eight new priests appear in the June 11, 2020 edition of the Catholic Standard newspaper, and the profiles will be posted on the Catholic Standard's website, one each day beginning that day through June 18.

Catholics in the archdiocese are encouraged to pray for the new priests and for vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Check your parish’s website to see if a Holy Hour for vocations is being scheduled there prior to the ordination.
