Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington hosted more than 300 people in need at its Dec. 18 Christmas dinner, held at the agency's headquarters in downtown Washington, D.C.
Before the event, Msgr. John Enzler, Catholic Charities' president and CEO, said, “Spending time with our clients and being a part of their meal make the dinner an uplifting moment at Christmas time.”
Catholic Charities employees and dozens of volunteers served the dinner and visited with the guests, who dined at tables set up throughout Catholic Charities' rooms and offices, which were decorated by volunteers. The guests, who each received a special gift, were were entertained by Christmas carolers and a music ensemble. The warm, nutritious meals were prepared by Catholic Charities Enterprises.
