Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington partnered with Pepco to host their annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner for the Homeless on Nov. 26.

More than 350 guests enjoyed the holiday feast, which was held at the Pepco Edison Place Gallery in downtown Washington, D.C.

The meal consisted of turkey and traditional trimmings prepared by Catholic Charities Food Services, a Catholic Charities enterprise, and it was served by volunteers from Catholic Charities.

Guests also received winter coats and toiletry kits furnished and distributed by Pepco volunteers. A press release from Catholic Charities noted, “In the true spirit of Thanksgiving, this dinner fosters a sense of community and reminds attendees, volunteers and staff of the traditions that unite us as Washingtonians.”
