Pueri Cantores, the national student choral organization of the Catholic Church, is inviting all parish and school treble and mixed voice choirs in the Archdioceses of Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington, and neighboring dioceses to participate in the Mid-Atlantic Choral Festival and Mass for singers in grades 4-12, which will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Washington, D.C., on April 6.

During the festival, the singers will join together as one combined choir to sing a liturgical music repertoire spanning 1,500 years, from Gregorian chants to contemporary sacred music. School conductors whose choirs participate in the festival will be offered eight Professional Development Credits by the American Federation Pueri Cantores, a corporate partner of the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA).

The festival will begin with registration at 11 a.m., and the choir will have three rehearsals throughout the day, leading up to a 4:30 p.m. choral prelude and a 5 p.m. Mass. More information about the festival and how to register can be found online at pcchoirs.org/2019-mid-atlantic-treble-mixed-voice-festival. The deadline to register is March 6, and the participant fee is $25.
